Just got a new 13" MacBook pro (stoked) but wondering if people out there with a MBP also have recommendations on good things to set up, download, change in the configuration, etc in terms of maximizing speed/power/storage as I begin my MBP experience...
ie, things that you should change from what Apple ships it as, etc.
am i being confusing? maybe
anyway, thanks in advance. just want to get the most i can out of it
(i did get 3 years of AppleCare, for the record)
ooh ooh and what's the best way to go for virus protection? i guess it comes with none?

Macs don't get viruses suckafish.

Well atleast that's what I've read and heard.

Because the MAC system is such a small amount of computers out there, people don't want to spend time worrying about MACs when they could have most of the world at their fingertips by infecting pc's.

That's what I her anyways.

well that used to be true, but macs are more and more popular, and no mac user I know has an antivirus, so making a virus for macs would be easy. I'm pretty sure it's just the way the OS on macs work that makes it virtually impossible for a virus to infect other stuff. Unless you're just stupid and you deliberately download something fishy and allow it to install.

What i found when i got my mbp, is by just playing around with it you learn all about how it works and how you want it to be set up. the more you use it, the more personal and customized it will become. Enjoy the new puter.
