Help setting spins

what is best way to set spins. is it better/easier to get a spin like 7 by popping, spinning your shoulders and looking around... or to throw your arm and huck
 
I pop and throw my entire body with the spin throwing my shoulders and arms slows down my rotation and its easier to grab that way
 
i used to pre wind my arms (only for spins on axiz for me) and this would make me do a really fast 180 and then my rotation would slow way down.
Now i just pop hard and spin my shoulders and look over my shoulder, it helps me tell whether or not i need to spin faster or slower
 
what you wanna do is pop and set with your hips and shoulders all at the same time.
turpin probably has way better advice than i do so join the ASK TURPIN cult for good coaching on everything you could ever want from your first 3's to kangaroo flips, having had turp as a coach myself, i think he is one of the best coaches i've had and helps me visualize stuff a lot better than anybody else does.
