Help scissoring skis on rails

scissor more. seriously. its not something anyone can really help you with, just practice.

if youre sliding off the rail/box, just practice some mellow slides and master that without any tricks, then start "scissoring" after youve perfected a regular stezzy slide.

for frontside tilt your front foot up and your back foot downfor backside tilt you front foot down and your back foot up
To do this make your you're at a full 90 degrees on the rail, then slide you feet front and back (depending on which way you going to spin - for example assuming right foot forward, for frontside slide you front foot back (to the right side of the rail) and pull your toes up, your back will adjust on its own usually, but to help push your left foot toes down and there you go, then simply spin out. It takes some getting used to, but once you do it becomes second nature.

^^^ its a little easier to understand if you describe it using toes. SoFS spin out, I set up for the spin with my back foot toes up, and my front foot toes down, then when I want to initiate the spin, I pop and turn.
BS spin out, Set it up opposite footing, then the same thing, pop and turn. For bs spins, I find it more helpful to focus less on the scissor and just focus on being solid on the rail, then pop and look around to the back. key being popping and turning in a solid manner.

remember to pop off the rail. i had the same problem with 450. i just slide off the rail. at the end of the rail hop a little bit

whatever happened to the good ol' set your shoulders and spin? i think tip-dipping is definitely overdone sometimes (not all) and makes spins out of rails look really cheap and lame.
