Help save this guy from death row

Terry Williams is facing the death penalty in three weeks for killing the man who repeatedly raped him.

But when Terry was convicted, the jury didn't know the whole story. At the time of his trial, jurors say they had no history or background of the sexual assault and abuse that Terry Williams had suffered for years.

Terry was brutally raped for five years, beginning when he was thirteen, by an older man he trusted -- Amos Norwood. When the jury learned his information after the trial, five jurors came forward to say that they no longer supported his death sentence. Even Norwood's widow has forgiven him, and does not want Terry to be executed.

wow, that's terrible. if there's not more to the story than you've stated, then i really feel bad for the guy. i can't honestly sit here and say i wouldn't do the same thing. i've got no sympathy for those who perpetrate sexual assault of any kind.

instead he'll be sentenced to life with out parole, so he can continue being buttfucked...??

wow that is so awful feel terrible for that guy. Just shows how flawed the modern law system can be. While I'm not fully bashing it, there is definitely some huge downfalls, as shown through this example. Hopefully this guy gets out and get a nice lawsuit

Same, assuming thats the gist of the whole story, I would do the same thing. I'm not a fan of rapists and believe harsh punishment is fair justice. Of course there can be technicalities/ exceptions though so fine line

Actually I'm curious if he killed him while being raped, or actually planned it out and actually sought him out.

And there are also people on death row that have been proven innocent by DNA evidence that still havnt been released because of some bullshit reason or another. Watch after innocence it is a pretty good documentary about people on death row.

Just another example of why there should be no death penalty and death row to begin with...

signed it, the idea of that just kills me. can you even imagine what it would be like to be about to die for something like that?? god damn

thats what I'm trying to figure out. either this is a crock of shit or he had the worst attorney in the history of mankind.

Im gonna have to disagree on this one. In no way should this guy be sentenced to death for what he did but you have then you have these people who go on mass killing sprees that deserve to put to death

Something seems a little off here...that's not something you just accidentally omit during your trial. Also, he still killed a man, so unless it was an act of self defense while actually being raped, it's still murder 1. As absolutely shitty and terrible as his story is, and as much as that guy may have deserved it, you can't just murder someone and not expect to go to prison, let alone "get out and sue," as someone else in this thread said.
