i have 3 days to get the best skiing I can while I am in vegas mid-March. i have skied mammoth this month which was only 5 hrs from vegas - i found the lift prices were very high for the amount of crowds on the weekends and the park was not progressive (considering its mammoth- great park tho). i ilke park when the hill is skied out and freeriding when the snow is rippable and droppable. does anyone have a closer recommendation to vegas over mammoth that offers good park when the snow is ok to not so good. i am not concerned about pipe. thank you all in advance.

extra 3 hours from mammoth and you can ski tahoe. but i have never been disappointed with mammoth like ever... so im not sure what ur saying there
I've skiied at Mammoth a few times in my life..
Never EVER had a bad time it. Well worth the SIX hour drive for a 3 or 4 day trip...
I dont see why you're complaining at all... the next closest resorts are Las Vegas Ski Bowl.. where you might die in an avalanche, even if you're on the lift...
or Brian Head resort in So. Utah.. where they have some sick cat ski operations and really dry snow..
other than that, you're shit out of luck.

MAMMOTH IS THE SICKEST SHIT EVER!!
i just finished 10 days there with alot of wind meaning no upper mtn and low visability in the parks. Sooo the weather was not the best but the hill still is. when i say not progressive parks i meant that because i was there in 2004 with a better flow in main and more features in whole. AGAIN MAMMOTH IS SICK AS BALLS dont kid yourself.

june is bad ass. never crowded has had a really nice jump line all season. their jibs do get a little boring after a while but still fun. i have a college pass there and i am going again this weekend. you can get 50% off lift tickets if you know someone with a pass too so it is a really good deal.
