Help picking a skateboard

I want to buy a skate board for just messing around on flat ground and riding bowls/mini ramps/park. I'm a beginner, looking for a good deal. Would like to support a solid brand if I can. Please compare the brand of the board you would recommend to a ski company if you can. Thanks
