I want to build a rail for my back yard and need some suggestions on building one. Like what is the best material to use are (metal, pvc pipe, ect.) ? If I use metal is there anything I need to do with it? Where can you get poly slide material that is used on boxes? I don’t get much snow where I live so is using Astroturf or carpet on a steep drop in a good alternative when there is no snow? By the way I have all the materials necessary to build the rail because I have a race shop with ever tool you can imagine. Thanks for the help !

The best advice is to join BUILD A JIB cult...Interact--cults--all cults BUILD a jib. request invite

you know that gives you the right to say...(look around to make sure no one hears me, and in whispers) "...searchbar..."

its okay...actually now i feel like an asshole for not noticing that this was your first post, and i apoligize for being so rude, but anywho, welcome to NS!

shut up chris, at least i apoligize when i realize im a jerk...and to ^ i was saying that the member i quoted could've said that, i'm plenty aware of the rule...and that is part of the reason i apologized, it was uncalled for

check the latest build-a-jib 101's news update it has everything imaginable

i'd suggest welding yourself a steel rail if you have a welder in your shop

the best way we found to build a rail is to use pvc and find a piece of wood the same as the pipe you use. Have some friends help you hold the rail tightly to the wood while you drill holes in the pipe and the wood then come back through and drill in screws make sure the screws you use are long enough to make it through the wood and the pipe.
