i can hit medium sized jumps and im stable in the air but when it comes to the big table tops or hips i go off the jump and i cant land it. it might be fear but i dont think so. any help would be awesome

later.

I've found doing a fall sport really helps. I know its a little late now, but you can lift weights or run. I ran XC all fall and my legs are stronger than ever. I had mono last fall and couldn't run and I remember going back to skiing and not stomping anything. This year I can ski out of stuff that normally I would tumble over or slide out. Other than that advice, just have some confidence and gradually build up to bigger stuff.

Yeah. Look only at the landing, never look at the ground under you. And it seems straight airs for me is harder, if I do atleast a grab I can stay focused in the grab instead of my mind racing about how I could get off balanced and shit...

yea any time i hit a huge jump i cant do anything because im frozen and im just trying to stay balanced for my landing.. can anyone help?

It is unfortunate when everything seems to be going really good and the girl uses a word like 'dont', or 'stop'. If she learned to use these two words in unison, everyone would be much happier.

just do a grab or rotation to keep u occupied

Why do you guys say, 'I have to take a shit' when you just leave it there?' JF learning english

i cant.. i just kinda lock up

Then you need to go back to medium sized jumps and work on those for awhile. Learn to throw grabs and spin off those and get comfy. Then work your way up, its the only way. You can't instantly be able to huck you shit off anything and expect to land it. Good Luck.

For me I get kinda fucked over when I hit the kicker. You go into the jump with so much speed and then boom you in the air, harsh transition.

just give her. i saw these guys just fly off this 25-30 table top when i was like 12 and that gave me the insperation (hahahahahah) to jump so i was pulling mad double daffys and shit. but yeah just dont think about it thats what i do.

-Cause im a Cracka-

i dont like kickers. the really quick transition throws me off. a table with a long smooth transition is nicer.

just build your self up to the bigest jumps ,and do grabs coz they keep you stable.

New Zealand is getting a super pipe next year YAY!!!!!

Hey. When you hit a table or another big jump like that, it might not be you. I know there's a really inconsistant table where i ride, and it's sometimes really hard to hit right because of the approach. (this also might have to do with the boarder to skier ratio being like 200-5)

Also, don't be a wussy. I know it sounds harsh, but i remember when i first started, i was always burning off speed and not jumping off the lip. Dont worry about it, chances are you'll do way better if you max out and smash it!

you might not think this is the best advice, but I say you just suck it up and hit the jump. you will get used to going off big jumps if you do it enough.

get rid of the mental block first. thats why helped me. and besides you have to learn then learn. work your tricks on the small hits then take them to the big ones. you will find you have more time and can add more style to them,
