hi guys, i need some advice on skis. i want a designated park ski, not an all mountain twin tip or anything like that. i ski in the new england. im a level 3+ skier (used to race, now volunteer with ski patrol). im looking at mostly skis at outlets for cheaper because ill be honest, im still not good enough to pay 600 for this years skis. i just dont need it, not to mention im paying for them myself. ideally something under 300 would be nice, but ill push 400. im going to probably put new bindings on them so i have to pay for those too.

on evo, ive looked at the 2012 k2 press and recoils, 2011 and 2012 line step ups, 2012 chronics, 2012 blends, 2012 icelantic da'nollies (pricey!) and volkl bridge and walls (also pricey!)

other info: i'm 5'7", weigh about 130 (light!) and im 16 years old. looking for something moderately stiff so if i want to go on a regular run

basically, im looking for peoples opinions on these skis, and comparisons if you've skied more than one! are they poppy, buttery, stiff, soft, light, heavy, how they ride forward/backwards, etc.

+k for legit responses

You could look at the ar7's. Stiff, fairly light, nice pop. Great park skis that do well on jumps because of their stiffness. They're better all mountain than a lot of park skis if you want to take runs out of the park every once in a while. You could probably find them under 400 online.

the rossi scimitars if you want a fatter park ski, theyre only 300 on evo. Just got some but havent ridden them yet so not able to review

found em for just under 4. ideally the binding and ski would be maybe a little above 4.. really starting to like the k2 press

The press is as soft as they come, I thought you said you wanted a stiff ski? Whatever ski you get remember that you can get EVO to pricematch and you get an extra 5% off. O2gearshop had the press on sale for $160 a month ago, I filled out the price match form at EVO and ended up getting the press for $150 (cheap enough that I won't feel bad beating the shit out of them on rails).

the skis mentioned above are just what was in my price range. i had no idea how any of them skied so thats why i came asking. i guess im not getting the press. im semi decided on last year's line step ups with marker squire bindings.

Well now you're just being lazy. Not only is it called "the press" but if you read any of product description pages it says the ski is specifically for jibbing and butters.
