HELP NEEDED FAST (AUDIO)

Canon 7D, Beachtek DXA-SLR, Rode Shotgun NTG-2.

I need to know how to set this up properly. The playback on the 7D still sounds noisey but maybe thats just the 7D's speaker? Does anyone have this combination of equip??

Do you have AGC (Automatic Gain Control) disabled? If you don't, then disable it.

yeah it is disabled and it sends the constant tone to the left channel. Does the XLR cable ned to go into the right or left plug because of this? I feel like there is still a bunch of noise during playback but again playback is only on the cam im not checking it after exporting to the computer.
