HELP NEEDED broken skis (pics)

well they're obviously pretty fucked, as in they are unlikely to last after this season, advice, lots of epoxy, clamps and seeing as its the tips you may be able to screw it together with countersunk holes though i'm not sure

on second thoughts it probably isn't worth the effort though so i'd start looking for some more skis

Basically any department store. They're pretty inexpensive. If you're using pop rivets make sure the flat part is towards the ground so they don't catch on anything.

haha thats sick, use marine epoxy as it is flexible and obviously smaller rivets, post pics as well, gd luck

i've had the same issue before and this works. My dad works with fiberglass too, so I fiberglassed over everything after riveting it. it held up long enough for me to find new skis

you can get a rivet gun for like 10 bucks at home depot or probably anyone you know who is at all a handyman will probably have one

After you pop the rivets, carefully flatten the bulge end by either clamping down on them really hard with a nice big pair of pliers or tapping on them with a metal hammer. You really don't have to flatten them, but if your pilot hole is a little bit too big it just adds a bit of extra security

I've done this before. one thing to note is it's really really really worth the time and effort to shape 2 blocks of wood to the right curve of the tip and clamp it between them. If you have the resources to do that without carving them with a knife.
