i would say im pretty comfortable on rails. i can do swaps, 2s off, and 4s. for some reason tho i cant seem to do a decent 3 on a jump bigger than your average side hit. i always just land backseat (i know threads like this are made all the time but ive never really seen a decent answer)

If you can 3 sidehits but not a big jump my guess is you're hucking too hard. Relax and bring it around nice and slow, on a big jump you have lots of time.

P.S. Post a video of you doing a 3 and you'll get better, more specific advice

Keep your shins forwards in your boots. You want yourself to not be weighing over the “handlebars” but balanced and aggressive. And upon take off make sure you are keeping your eyes up and not looking down at your feet. Good luck!!

i can't speak for everyone but i don't think a 4 off a rail is anything like a 3 on a jump honestly. the technique and form i use to 4 out of a rail would get me a 3 on a jump that is weak as shit and has me leaning back too much cause you're always trying to cheat the spin on spins out of rails. and that's the easiest way to mess up a 3 on a real jump, trying to cheat the spin and lean back

lean forward, push your shins into the tongues of your boots, and initiate the spin with your whole body. you don't need to rush it nearly as much as a 4 out even on a small jump and trying to rush it will only hurt you
