Help me write an essay!! (this might actually be fun...kinda)

So i need to write an essay that explains 3 different types of issues.

- One personal (ex: Divorce in a family)

- One social (ex: gay marrige)

- One political (ex: immigration laws/practices)

Give one idea for each topic. This should be an interesting essay
 
Gay marriage being illegal because marriage is a sacred bond between a man and woman, but offering the same benefits a married couple has but with a civil union.
Illegals, when apprehended should be immediately deported and not sent to prison. They should not receive in state tuition tax breaks (IE California). if caught a second time, shot on site. (i dont believe that but it could be humorous to see what the teacher says.

Or write that we should station national guard infantry companies along our borders, and assume all illegal crossers are drunk smuggling murderers and institute a shoot first ask questions later policy. (also not my belief id love to see what a teacher would say though.)
 
i wasnt really clear, im looking for more ideas.

I need one social issue, one political issue and one personal. give me better ideas than those overused examples
