this. you'll spend a fortune just so it runs mediocre on a low psi. Unless you swap the engine entirely that is...
 
Bro it's a 1.8L 4 Cylinder motor. The turbo you use, I'm sure will be a very small one + parts will cost more than the car is worth. May I ask why do this?

Chances are you won't tune it before you flog the crap out of it. That build will last you a few thousand miles before blowing all over your chest.
 
i swapped in a ej22 with 45k miles on it. no tune will be needed as it will be running under 10psi of boost. Just a FMU and an upgraded fuel pump. chances are you don't know what you're talking about, exactly why NS has gone to shits
 
Then what's the point of boosting? That's essentially what a stock A3/A4 puts out.

When you boost, you'll need to tune that shit to get your optimum performance. Engine timing/compression will be all whacky.
 
Because i dont want an a3 or a4 and this only costs me 500 bucks? And it wont need a tune if im running stock injectors, wastegate psi
 
I don't know why you would pour money into making a slow, 20 year old car go faster, when you could sell it, and then use the money from this sale and the old car to buy something with a little more kick to begin with.

What's the point in modifying a car to the point at which it will be as fast as the modern, unmodified version?
