hey guys. im looking for some new skis for next season. i have afterbangs right now and im looking for something different, most importantly something with faster bases. i live in ohio, so no pow or big mountain. mainly rails, but a decent amount of jumps too (nothing larger than 40ft though). i'd only use them in park. im 5'9, and about 135lbs. what im mainly looking for is something with a fast base. thats pretty important. ive been looking at moment jibs volkl walls, so some opinions on those would be nice, but im completely open to anything else. also, i dont really have a price ceiling at this point

thanks!

I love my surface double times and they meet your standards no doubt. Also if I were to get moments I'd get pb&j. My friend has them and from what I hear the pb&j meet your standards as well

loved my pipe cleaners. also Filthy Riches as mentioned before. i'm gettin myself a pair of those. if you're looking for a faster base the Moment Team may be better than the Jib.

I would recommend getting a softer flexing ski due to your weight. Atomic punx or armada thalls would do the trick.

Armada Alpha 1 has their "race base" and its much more of an all around park ski versus the pipe cleaner. Obviously if you dont like rocker this is not the ski for you.

had the old walls, got the brand new ones. they say dont fix what's perfect, but the managed to make perfect even better

i feel like nobody that has responded to you OP, lives in the east or Midwest. You need a ton of camber in your skis. not any rocker bullshit like the FR or Halo or Alpha 1. you will die without the excessive edge on all of that east coast pow-ice. Go with a pipe ski like the pipe cleaner if you like armada, go with any Nordica ski, especially the AOS.it has a full race base and it has amazing edge hold. it is kinda scary how much that ski can grip, so definitely consider those two skis as your main skis. The atomic punx might not be a good choice if you are on a tiny mountain because those sticks wanna run like crazy when I have used them. great jump ski. try to find a vertical sidewall ski if you dont like these choices and stay away from heavily or medium rocker skis. also go with a brand that makes good race skis like Head. those things rail and can go fast and make nice quality park skis, but they put edge grip tech into all of their skis. always look for a sintered base ski if you wanna go fast, but since they are a pain for shops to fix if you get a core shot tree skiing, make sure you have a pair of backups (a-bangs) for some of those awesome 3 inch pow days.

You're dumb. Rocker in the Midwest is awesome. I've been riding jmos for 4 years now and I don't have a single complaint about the rocker. The rocker actually cuts through all if the crud and ice and is super easy to ride.

Op, check out on3p filthy riches. You won't be disappointed.

your one crazy bastard. I have tried rocker skis and it is terrifying going up to the bigger jumps on an icy day. you feel like your on ski blades, and for me, I dont like using ski blades on boilerplate. you might be a rail guy where rocker is your friend, but you also might not just have bigger jumps at your mountain. I have just grown accustom to the more edge hold of full or close to full camber skis like the AOS. I love that ski and it saves me all the time from slipping out. I highly doubt you disagree with me if you have tried the AOS
