Hey guys, I didn't do too much skiing last year so I am a little lost on the new models and what skis people are turning to when looking for something they can take up no matter the conditions.Currently, I have a pair of 178 J.O. pros that I use for park

and a pair of 189 K2 Hellbents for the deep days.

Only problem is that I don't have anything to bring up for the days when there is a little fresh snow, but not enough to justify a full powder day.

I don't have a problem buying used, and I am trying to stay below $500 if possible.

I am 5 11, 170 pounds and have really switched most of my days to park to all mountain skiing and I ski in Washington state.

I did find these at EVO but wasn't sure on durability or if they would be good for my situation.

Short short, I need skis for all mountain ASAP and I don't know what skis or length.

Do you want something for charging, or jibbing, or in between? Flat tail, or rocker? If I were you Id get something around 100-110 underfoot, and 180-185cm. You can find a brand new ski from last year, thats well under 500$, pretty easily.

If you want to mostly jib around get a line blend or SFB, or you could even go as wide as a JJ and still be fine. If you want to jib and charge get a moment pb&j, On3p JMO, armada TST. If you want something to charge, thats still not a tank in the trees, get an On3p Vicik, Moment Beleafonte, Blizzard Cochise, Cham 107.

ah totally see I'm not sure if im going rocker or not... yeah I was looking betwen 100-110 underfoot as anything bigger would be more like my bents. Those are pretty good sticks but $$ range I wasn't sure about. I do do some charging and not so much for jibbing but inbetween would be good. Ill check to see if anyone is selling those on NS.

What about the surface skis?

ON3P Jmo's are niceeee or you could always ditch those hellbents and get some bentchetlers! 120 waist instead of a 130 so its like the best of both worlds

Would recommend Jmo's if your looking for a medium stiff ski that charges. SFB if you like a softer more playful ski.

Thank you all. Plus K. I will take a look for those skis. Sounds like bacons are a bit soft for me needs... What about the 2 pairs of surfaces I posted from Evo?

A rockered and on the smaller side of what you want is the nordica soul rider, playful flex and 97 underfoot, might want to check it out. Also the fatypus ltoro is in the category you are looking, but its another softer ski

Looked for some of those and havent found any. budget update to $400 total, skis only would be $300 and bindings would then be $100.
