Help me pick a park ski

aggressive skier that primarily do pow/tree skiing but i'm trying to get more into park stuff. 5'11 195lbs. still pretty new to park stuff but i will be progressing fast because i've been skiing since i was little and so far i can stomp decently big jumps easily

i already have a pair of pow skis for everything else so this pair is going to be used in park 100%. so far i've been looking at line chronic, k2 domain, on3p fr, moment vice but the list keeps on growing and growing and can't really pick anything.

i want something with a low swing weight for easier spins and poppy so i can hop around a lot. rather like flexy skis more than stiff ones but it doesn't really matter all that much. i want the waist to be 90+ preferably because i love the stability of wider skis when i'm charging down the groomers with friends.

thanks all

Domain's are super soft, and they will be super fun on rails but may wash out on jumps.

Chronics are not what I would call "flexy." They are an awesome ski though for all mtn./park.

FR's are a bit skinnier but I have heard nothing negative about them. At all.

I have heard iffy stories about Moment's durability.

Quite honestly, I would recommend the Rossignol Storm. They took the Scratch, made it wider and softened the flex. It sounds perfect for what you want. I would look really seriously into those.

durability isn't my #1 priority because i have the cash to replace skis if they get messed up but thanks for the tips!

i like the top sheet for storm at least haha

well it's a bit too thin for my liking. and just because the durability isn't my #1 priority, doesn't mean i want my shit to break in half after a week of skiing haha

domains would wash out on sketchy landing because it's super soft or because of the rocker? or both?

Out of all the skis you listed, I wouldn't go with the domains since you ski aggressively. They're more of a flexy ski, I would go with something stiffer such as the chronics or the FRs, which are both very durable skis.

domains are like a noodle, and are actually kinda scary to hit jumps bigger than maybe 20 feet or so. super playful on rails but if you're looking for a good all around park ski look elsewhere.

Thanks for the tips guys. I guess I'm moving away from the domain since I like big jumps better than rails at the moment. Still pretty nooby at the whole park thing but stomped a large feature jump today so I'm stoked.

Something like punx or salomon suspect maybe? Right now I'm trying to find a place that let people demo park skis in tahoe area haha

on3p FR looks pretty sick. I like rockered skis and 88 waist is perfect i think. plus sick ass top sheet/base and bomber construction to boot

yeah ive heard great things about on3p if you have the cash to get em i would. punx are great skis. had a pair of suspects 2 years ago and they were the least durable ski i've ever owned. blew out the edge on the first pair and heel piece ripped out on the replacement pair they sent me. maybe theyve gotten better though i'm not sure. i know lots of people are starting to use the Salomon Rocker 2's so maybe check out those? the rocker 2 90 looks pretty nice.

Just ordered FR. Thanks for the description. That perfectly matches what I wanted. Flex enough to butter around yet stiff enough to stomp big jumps. Not too skinny and light and all that

I mounted mine at true centre, it wouldnt really make sense to mount them elsewhere as it is a fully symmetrical ski, you'll have a blast, i love mine.

Check out the 182 Armada Alpha One. A slightly stiffer flex for bigger jumps, but super nice swing weight and design.

I have Halos right now & love them - my next pair will be either Halos or Filthy Riches... But I'd say since you do more jumps I'd go Alpha One over the Halo if you want to try Armada.
