Help me out on bindings.

im looking to buy some Look bindings for next year but im open to suggestions on other good binding brands. just make some suggestions on whats good and what to stay away from.
 
Look/Rossi are a safe bet, Salomon S916 and above should hold up. Don't buy reactors no matter how cheap they are. And markers toe pieces suck, so I would stay away from them as well.
 
Look and Rossignol are the same bindings...get only axials/p series; although I haven't heard anything about like axium or anything, I think axials are much better. You can get axial2 120 ti pro on rei.com for $99, I would do that unless you are huge or they sold out.
 
One more thing: With Rossi/Look, the overall design is the same, but some models come with a lifter plate. This lifter puts more force onto the edge of the ski(read: a lever), so it can cause you to edge unnecessarily on landings and cause you to sketch out. Look for the freestyle bindings, or tell your local shop to not use the lifter plate and use short screws instead.
 
i found some PX12's for $152. but i also found some Rossi Axium 200 Scratch's for $109. do you guys know anything about the quality of this binding cuz thats a good price. oh and i weigh about 150.
 
i think that was a typo. 99 should be 199. unless it really was 99 and they sold out. too bad if thats what the case is.
 
when the looks say they are lifted, can you mount them with them the lifter or without? basically, can you remove the lifter to make them non-lifted bindings
 
the brakes on the PX12's wont fit the PE's 85mm waist and i dont want to buy wide brakes. (they would be really wide) so should i bend them. or look for a different binding?
 
ya well theyre the same as the looks. ive got the scratch 120 and theyre great. im gonna mount some old fks's on my new invaders. i think ive got a pair lyin around in the garage
