Help me fix my 270 on

It's been 2 years since I've been trying to learn this trick and I'm so inconsistent with it. I usually land it like 2 out of 30 attempts every time. My questions are:

-why while I'm spinning my skis aren't parallel? Left ski keeps tilting during the spin(see img below). Also It seems like I pop more with my left ski also. How do I fix it? Tried everything

- I see a lot of people who before spin start with wider skis and before pop they bring it closer, I think this is unconscious but why this doesn't happen with my attempts?

Thanks for help

i think you're on the right track and will figure it out nicely by just doing it more and more

but i would suggest to square up a little more before the lip, and lift your knees!! (lift your knees is good advice on most rail tricks.) gives you more time to spot and place your feet down on the rail nice and lined up

I think what helped me with what your doing right now is imagining your self landing at the top of the rail. I find that a successful 270 on lock on happens if I put my self on top of the rail- you might be falling off early.

youve got a good base for it, as people said pick your knees up/a little bit more pop off the lip. Could also try winding up with your arms a lil more

This is actually a good thing and will help you scissor. The opposite is true, your left foot leaves the ground before the right. this means most of the force being generated to jump is actually from your right foot. This is pretty normal for spinning left.

I see a lot of people who before spin start with wider skis and before pop they bring it closer, I think this is unconscious but why this doesn't happen with my attempts?

wide feet before pop means gripping with inside edges. its normal for feet to come together after pop. you get a quicker spin. this goes into muscle memory when you learn to do big spins off small jumps. like 7s 9s.

the counter rotation that you are showing in the picture is pretty normal too. especially on a street entry style lip. it happens because your upper body starts spinning before your lower body and the pop. then when you are in the air your lower body tries to catch up and your upper body compensates. similar deal to a shifty.

overall your attempt is pretty good. i would say 95% there.

some little tips:

-come into the rail at a bit more of an angle. The counter rotation is always going to put you a little forward and prevent you from being able to balance until you get grip. When you come in on an angle the forward balance gets cancelled out momentarily. Right now it looks like you start with your left foot beside the rail. line up with your right foot about 20 cm away. move further if necessary.

-catch the rail with your lower body at 20 degrees under/earlier (so like 250ish). i found it makes it easier/quicker to toe scissor and stop the rotational momentum. you can practically land on the rail in a scissor. unless you are going for a continuing swap or 2 out, you gotta lock asap.

-Its hard to tell what your are looking at during the rotation. I would say keep your eyes on the start/top of the rail throughout the rotation. generally I land on the rail with my upper body just past 180, then it catches up with my lower body when im on the rail. after your feet hit the rail, you start looking between your feet which is correct.

you have the same problem that i did.

I was super good at 270 on until this year, I couldn't do them.

after watching footage i figured out i was landing on the rail looking behind me/ uphill

in the example video you gave us, you are doing the same. it is way harder to land like that, imagine trying to hit a rail while looking behind you, not at the end of the rail.

when you do the 270 on, make sure you turn your head before you land on the rail, to look towards the end of the rail, and not uphill.

this is what helped me tremendously

Everything looks fine. Pop is perfect, head position and timing looked on par.

Get a more aggressive angle when you approach the rail. It will send you more over the rail and not on your heels
