Alright guys heres the low down.

Im 5'8 130lbs, pretty small. im looking for some twin tip skis, im a beginner next year will be my 2nd season. i like to ski some park, even though im not good, but my friends and i ski the whole mtn. i would like to get good at butters and boxes and jumps.

Alright so my budget is about 200$ i already have bindings and boots.

The skis ive been looking at so far:

2008 K2 silencer

2008 line invaders

Let me know if there are other options. i found the line invaders size 161cm for 150$ and the old 07 silecners for 162$ and the 2008 silencers for 210$ and i was going to get 159cm for the silencers.

Please help, Thanks.

You did your homework, Invaders and Silencers are both good skis for someone starting out, good for butters and won't break the bank. Most other skis will be 300+.

yeah u posted this in the wrong section it goes in gear talk but for some quick help invaders would be super solid skis for buttering and boxes but pretty soft so they might not perform so well all-mountain... but ur light so u could be alright.... and please at 5'8" get at least like the 171's they might feel long at first but u will love the length when u get used to it

thanks a lot guys, yeah i re posted in gear talk.

i tried my friends 164cm lines and they seemed sort of long. so i think i might just go with the 161 just because it will feel better for me starting out i mean this year i was rocking 140 cm rossignol carving skis. so i dont really wanna jump 31 cm. but i understand what your saying.

What do you think will last longer the silencers or the invaders?

also should i get the older silencers with the gun graphic for 162$ or pop for the knives at 200$ unless u guys know of cheaper.

but the invaders sound nice at 150$, im not too hip on the bright pink graphics. but i think they still look tight

lemme know ur opinion on everthing. i trust you guys because u know your stuff. thanks.
