Help Me Decide on Skis

I've done some research and have read a lot on this year's crop of new ski's. Sorry to make another one of these threads but it's a lot of money and I want to make the right choice.

I plan to purchase some skis this weekend and cannot for the life of me decide what I should get. I'm 6'2 180, ski a lot of park but love to shred to whole hill. I'd been living in Breck for the past 4 years and haven't skied out east a ton. I just moved to the east coast and got the stratton/mt snow pass. If possible I'd like to keep it around 500 bucks'ish and I plan to mount some sth2 16's on whatever I get.

Current skis:

Destroyed 181 Rossignol Slats (love these but want a shorter radius ski and a little lighter)

Destroyed 185 Volkl Wall's ( awesome park ski)

192 Line Opus (for sale) (never use them)

I want a rockered 100-waistish ski that will last me the season and is super playful and buttery.

Heres my list. Let me know if I'm missing anything. I want to narrow it down to 2 skis and buy them this weekend. Weigh in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I was looking at the kartel 98s blends shreditors and faction candide 2.0s. Ended up getting the kartels they just seemed like a more well rounded ski for all over the mountain.
 
I'd say the shreditor if you want a soft rockered ski, but at your size, I'm not sure if you would actually like it, especially since they have pretty soft tails- go flex them for yourself and make a decision though. The only other skis I'd recommend would be the Kartels and the Rocker2s as they are both fairly similar in shape and I think you'd be happy with either. Edollos probably won't last you and aren't great for all mountain, Blends and Allplays aren't really that rockered, and you said the Factions are out of your price range.
 
I've never skied On3p Kartels, but if the Filthy Rich is anything to go by, they're fucking bulletproof. I had literally no core-shots, cracked edges or anything after a 55+ day season of constantly hitting rails, running over stumps & eating shit off of jumps >4 hours a day.
 
im in the same situation as you, i skied the Shreditor 102 last year and loved them, they were super fun and playful but a bit too soft for bigger features, im still going to keep them this year but im looking for a more all around stiffer ski in the same waist width, im thinking of getting the Soul Rider from nordica, they are similar but have carbon to make them stiffer and snappier, i think theyll be awesome for all around the mountain and in the park.
 
kartels for sure. on3p makes awesome skis and the 98 waist is perfect mix for park and east coast skiing for me. They should handle pretty awesome for the couple of days it snows out here too.
 
I would say the Rockers, Allplay, Kartel, and Factions are more well rounded mid flex skis that soft. I went to my local shop yesterday.

I was at a shop and hand flexed th3 Edollo, Shreditor 102, Blend, and Salomon Rocker2.

The shreditor was softer than the 4, then the Blend. The Edollo wasn't as soft ad I expected, nor do I thibk it has better all mountain capability than some of the other skis on this list. The rocker was similar flex to the Edollo imo.
 
i'd say anything except for the dollo and the solomons. I say the dollo cause i hear it's too buttery for all mountain. and solomon's are just boring. but that's opinion

Those salomons are anything but boring.
 
The shreditors are very soft skis, especially in the tips and tails, however for your size I would not get them. Salomon 100 are awesome but they are on the stiff side. I would get the on3ps because they are fairly stiff but have enough rocker to butter and surface swap all around the mountain
 
Although its not on your list: Take a look at the Fat-Ypus - Il Toro.

I read only but awesome reviews about it.

I think, that you ll might be able to find a last year model (used or new) for under 500 Bucks for sure (A new one is maybe in your budget too, when the exchange rate of Can-$ to Americ-$ is pretty good).

But when i have to choose one ski from your list:

1.) JSkis - Allplay (98mm)

2.) Line - Blend (100mm) (Durability of the ski isnt a big plus, compared to the J'allplay or the On3p)

3.) On3p - Kartel 98 (Is on the 3rd place, because of the price. If you dont rly care about that i would say its the best choice after the fat-ypus il toro. Imo)
