Help Me Decide on Dedicated Park Skis

Trying to figure out what skis to grab for the upcoming season and looking for a dedicated park ski (~88-90mm underfoot). Want something light weight that can handle jumps, and preferably something with a good amount of pop. My favorite park ski ever was 2016 Chronics so keep that in mind.

Right now I'm between Vishnu Wet+, TW Pros, and Prodigy 1s. Mango 90s off the table because of their price unfortunately (trying to stay around $500).

I know Vishnu are vastly different from the old Chronics, but something about them looks fun af. The other two on my list seem more similar to the old chronic but I'm not sure of their differences (TW Pro vs Prodigy 1)

What would y'all suggest? Any other skis I should look into?

I love line so i'm being biased but everyone I know that has Twalls loves them. I think they would be a great ski for you since you're looking for something that is versatile but still stable enough to handle jumps well.

Hope your knee has been healing up well! Sending good vibes your way

Maybe the key would be more your speed, considering you liked the more supportive chronics. Definitely worth looking into.

The Key has a more classic camber park shape, right? Any major differences between that and something like the TW Pro/Prodigy?

Knee is doing well! Thanks man! I've heard good things about the TWalls too, plus it being Line's main park ski now (and replacing the Chronic there) has me intrigued

Brand Description:

Designed with more “traditional” park skiing in mind, the 2022 Vishnu Key is ideal for jumps, high speeds, and overall larger features while still being lightweight and maneuverable on rails. Medium rocker in the tips, camber underfoot, minimal rocker in the tail. Medium flex, stiffer than the Wets but still playful and jibby.

I’d guess it’s gonna be a lot looser on landings because of the rocker, but it’ll be supportive. It might be a good middle ground for you that’ll be more fun for playing around on than the lines or factions. Also Vishnu has one of the best reputations when it comes to durability.

Get the key. I’ve had a crush on that ski for awhile from a distance. I have had Libertys with bamboo/poplar laminate core and I love the support and way it “snaps” you back up once you get used to it.

My vote is Vishnu key

hell let’s drag [tag=225826]@VISHNU[/tag] into this

I've never seen a pair of lines last more than a week so I wouldn't say line. Vishnu key seems to be the next big ski imo especially with the re-enforced tips

Thought I should say i've been riding my 17/18 honey badgers for 3 seasons. They are banged tf up but still just holding on. I'm gonna ski em again this season.

Yeah my Chronics were on their 4th season and were still going strong. They got stolen otherwise would still be riding em

Ik you have some arvs which I found to be a lot like my old 2016 chronics, I had the 2019 arv 96.

I say just try the wet plus which I also have. It is a completely different ski but the change is so dope and it is super sick on rails.

You will be happy with it

Yeah considering I have ARVs I'm thinking getting something completely different would be a good idea. How are wet+s on jumps?

Since I am familiar with your jump style you’d be fine, they’d only suck if you’re trying huge huge shit, there will be a little getting used to because of the rocker but once you’re used to it you’ll love em

Word, if I decide I wanna go huge I'll just throw on the ARVs. Wet+ the front runner for now I think, TWall close second
