Help me buy skis for my Niseko trip!

Hi there,

I skied a lot from 2005-2009 including a season in Whistler, and had all sorts of skis for different terrain.

It's been quite a few years since I've skied but I want to go hard when i get to Niseko in a few weeks.

I would't know where to get started with looking at skis these days. I used to have K2 Seths for pow, and Line Invaders & Chronics for park and all round cruising. I also currently own Salomon Dumonts.

Any recommendations for what I should be looking for when I head to Niseko? I'm probably looking for somewhere 100-110mm under foot.

Does Niseko have a park so I should take my Dumonts with me too?

Help me find the ski I'm looking for!!

Thanks

I would recommend the Armada JJ. Super durable and high build quality with a perfect width for deep snow. Its also quite flexible so they are very playful for butters and such. They rip through everything from groomers to pow.

Check out for discounts on older models since the measurements have been unchanged for years.

Also i wouldnt bother taking park skis to japan

man for japan I would i would want some 115mm+!!!!

Ive got some 187 4Frnt YLEs Ill let go for cheap! $200 plus shipping!!!

Faction 3.0, I got these last year and can't get over how fun they are. Mine are the yellow and brown ones from 2014 I think, so they have no camber but you can fucking rip a turn on hardpack and the are surprisingly light. I'm a small guy so they don't seem very soft but they are easier to butter with than my chronics. And of course they kill it in the pow, and hold up well in the crud.

Dude there's so many fun skis out there now.

Like mordecai

ON3P Jeffrey

Atomic Bent Chets

those would be my choices

Awesome, thanks everyone.

@japanada - how do I contact you? I can't DM you for some reason.

Anyone got ideas where I can buy affordable JJs, Faction 3.0s, Bent Chets, or Sick Days? I'm in Australia too.. that makes it a bit harder...

Cheers
