Please HELP ME! Newschoolers! I will give a large cash reward (or lots of beer if that's your idea for payment!)!
On December 26, 2008 I was skiing A-Basin, under the Norway Lift (Double across from the Black Mountain mid-mountain Lodge and I am pretty sure the trail is also named Norway) and I fell in some softer snow. After nose diving, I had one ski attached to my left foot with the other, somewhere in the past waist-high snow pack.
I searched with ski patrol for an hour then another hour and a half by myself with nothing. If you are taking the lift up (the Norway lift), almost 2/3 up the lift towards the summit you will see a fairly large boulder (dark tan rock) sticking up out of the snow about 10-15 feet to your right. My ski is anywhere from 15 feet directly UPHILL in a straight line from that boulder to 35 feet above the same boulder slightly looking uphill to the left about 1 foot.
In the rare chance you see a ski sticking out of the snow or you see it near that boulder or anywhere else on the mountain I will offer you my highest level of gratitude and a very handsome reward (I'm talking about tripe digits!) and I will come pick it up wherever you are.
The ski is a 07/08 Ninthward Comte Pro 176cm with Marker bindings.
