Help landing switch

spot your landing? if youre washing out i feel like you might be landing non parallel with the landing while still spinning so i guess try to position youre body better in the air, i dont know if thats helpful at all but it's all i can really think of

Spot your landing make sure you are ready for it when it comes. If you really can't land just take it to seven.

just try small 180s on slope switch between normal and backward skiing, and get used to it!as soon as u feel comftable try to hit little bigger kickers and try 180´s and then go on to 5´2!

i think it is all about the feeling....

i kinda have the same problem, but i cant keep my body straight when i land, i always heavy head, or just slouch, any way i can land a little more flat? instead of on my tips. I broke my bindings 4 times because of pre releases landing switch.

keep yourself centered over your skis dont let your skis move farther away than sholder width and you will be good landing switch is easier once you get used to it

fuck u you man. obviously im not the best park skier but last year was my first year riding park and i think after one year just the rotation for a 5 is still pretty good level to be progressing at

stay centred over your skis dont lean forward, spot your landing make sure you have your legs solidly braced and ready, instead of just letting yourself hit the ground

Make sure you're nice and centered as you're coming down, and look back up at the lip or knuckle. That should keep you from dragging your hands or anything like that.

try to focus on your pop instead of your spin, the spin will come, you're probably letting the lip throw you back seat.

Ive broken 3 brakes this season all landing switch. I did a HUGE 180 and one of my brakes broke and wasnt usable. I got that replaced. Then last weekend I tried doing a 540 and both my brakes broke. One of them ripped all the way off and I olmost lost it. WE were skiing up at neff land(even tho they changed the name this year to mineshaft) and my friend found my break two runs after I broke the one that came all teh way off. Then on my other ski in the same jump as I broke my other brake, that one did the exact same thing as when I tried huge 180. Any advice for landing switch of medium to large jumps?

I also like the feel of landing switch more but I always land nose heavy and have my breaks stick into the ground. Any good ways to practice landing centered?

Just do it more

Here’s what I do:I throw spin and when I land, I put most of my weight on outside foot (example: I spin left and land on right foot). I do a reverse squat (remember to lean back and squat into it) and look at my right foot (outside foot). As I reach the bottom of my squat, I look at the toe piece of my binding. I then follow that and rise my gaze from my toe to my skis tip as I stand up. Then I look back over my left shoulder.

You don't look back up at the top of the landing?

Nah man. I tend to look at my toe when landing. Then I run my gaze Up my ski until I’m looking up the landing/stood up. Happens relatively fast
