HELP!!! K2 missdirected or Line Pandora?

i second this. Its hard to tell which ski is better for you without knowing what you are looking for in a ski, how you ride, ect. but these in general are the better ski in my opinion

yeah I know how it feels. I didnt get a vid I really wanted for like a month. by then I had like 6 of the same vid. goodluck bro.

Im 5'4" and 135lbs this is my first season so im not the greatest but im looking for a really good ski so i can get really good next season.

A friend of mine rides pandoras and she says that she loves them but thats about as much as I know of them haha. Btw you ski crystal? whats your outerwear? maybe I've seen you up there.

sweet. If i ever see either of you guys up there I'll be sure to holler. I'm wearing the yellow/black sessions jacket with blue sessions pants.

Ok. My wife was rockin the pandoras and loved em. I was big on the new line SFBs. So much so that I convinced her to demo a set of the 172 bacons. That was that. She couldn't get rid of her pandoras quick enough. I've never seen her ski faster on hardpack or have more confidence in the back/sidecountry on any other ski she's ever owned. I promise you that you will not be sorry with the new bacons. Don't be put off because they're a "guys" ski. This year we've been fortunate enough to ride a bunch of resorts across the US this season and my wife has slayed it all on those things. Def recommend em over the pandora. Waaaay more versitile. Good luck either way though.

The only problem i have with that is the fact they are 172's i was riding 175 4frnt madonnas and then i got 163 line chronic cryptonites and the 175 were way too long for me but i do want something bigger then i 163 but i was hoping for a 165 ish

Well there's a big difference between the cryptos and the bacs. Rocker alone will suck up some of that length and I'm assuming you were using the cryptos for park/all mountain right? I'd say demo the 172 bacs before ya buy anything. May be tough to do right now but maybe early next season? I cannot stress to you enough how much better a skier the bacs made my wife. Way more confidence. There were a few steeps that she literally outrun us boys and was waiting at the bottom for us. She also dropped her first taller than her cliff the first day she bought the bacs. She was also shredding tree lines with us and even taking the lead at times. You've gotta understand that my wife is an excellent skier but was usually reserved and cautious. Those bacons changed that immediately. To be sure before she got rid of her pandoras and bought the bacs she spent a few days demoing alot of skis fr

Sorry. Shitty mobile. But she demoed everything from libertys to armada vjjs. So she was super confident with the bacs. Also it's important to note that the pandora is semi directional and isn't quite as symmetrical as the bacs. It's a great pow only ski but the cool thing about the bacs is that they will slay it all. I use mine as a park/tight tree ski and my opus for everything else. Honestly though I'm not tryin to steer ya wrong. I could easily sing the praises of the pandora as my wife loved that ski till she got on the bacs. Good luck either way though.

Did she happen to demo the k2 missdirected? Ive been leaning towards those but i havent heard anything about them really. I was thinking about getting the bacons but i dont really want to spend a lot of money demoing everything

She didn't demo those actually. I just read up on them though real quick. They sound to me very similar to the pandora. Are you going with an AT setup and all that or just regular alpine bindings? I could see the pandora or the missdirected as both being decent pow only skis. Like I said before, my wife loved her pandoras. I swear to ya though that those bacs made her a better skier by a factor of four in all conditions. Now understand she doesn't skin or use an AT setup but we will go rip groomers in the morning and then grab snowmobiles in the afternoon and lap some backcountry. Those bacs handle all of it for her. Cannot stress to you enough how much better that ski is then your regular chick pow ski.

shes keeping the cronics for more shitty days but basically getting a pow ski that can hold at least a little on groomers to get back down to the lift after the pow. but im going to be putting griffons or jesters on the missdirected on them if she likes them

Griffs on the new bacs would be absolutely perfect. They will shred pow and groomers. I'm guessing your her boyfriend? Maybe I missed something above. Seriously though, I swear to ya those new bacs are head and shoulders above any chick pow specific ski out there. We were on chutes that my wife would normally do in about 20 turns that she did consistently in 5 turns. I'm not one to say that a ski can make someone that much better but my god this one does. We've run into a few chicks on the 172 bacs who all said its hands down the best ski they've ever ridden. I own them as well and I can tell ya that I've been skiing a loooong time. It's the best ski I've ever ridden. Let's put it this way, if you were my best friend I would not let you put her on any other ski but the bacons. That said though in just some Internet dude and would completely understand the hesitation. If she can demo them first I'd highly recommend it. I promise if she does she will be blown away. Good luck either way though. I doubt you'd go wrong with either the missdirected or the pandora. It's just that those bacs are soooo much better.

hey man. thanks for all the help. and yeah i am haha :) but her dad randomly bought her the k2s haha. we were leaning towards the bacs after all youve said but then he came home with them. haha. so lets hope. and i asked the ski shop. they said that the highest sellers are the sfb and the missdirected. and they ride almost the same but the sfb being a little better on grooms. so thanks for all your help and confidence. :) karma p's fer sure

No problem. That's cool though. Considering she's keepin the cryptos which are fantastic skis in their own right. Nothin wrong with a two ski quiver at all. I have zero doubt that if she's got the mentality for it, the missdirected will be fine on groomers regardless. Plus from what I've read it's a legit pow ski and not some bs thrown together for chicks. My wife was rockin her pandoras on groomers for a while there as well and they seem real similar construction wise. I wouldn't be surprised to find out the missdirected is essentially a rebranded pandora with skinnin holes in the tips. If she's comin from the

Damn mobile! If she's comin from the cryptos I'm sure she's gonna dig the width. My bacs are prob the narrowest ski I'll ever buy again. Once ya fat ya never go back right? Well alright. Hope they work out for her.

MissDirected, tons of tip rocker much like th ObSethed (different mounting points) little bit heavier. With all that tip rocker it can crush over all crud and stay on top of the powder.

The Pandora is lighter and feels alittle more nimble, This ski does not have as much rocker in the tip, giving a little more surface are on groomers cutting down on the chatter a little bit.

At www.coloradofreeskier.com we have them both listed at $375! with free shipping of course!

I know you've already bought the missdirected but the above post should give you pause to reconsider. Heavy+assymeyrical rocker=trouble for a non aggressive skier

Goddamn I hate this mobile setup. Ya tilt the phone and that's it. Ya lose the your spot in the post with no way back. Anyway, even with the pandora, my wife's only gripe was that it had a tendency to launch unexpectly in certain situations. This can be especially problematic on a bumpy rippled up tight cat track. Something to think about.

Takes just a tad more patience to lay the MissDirected over on edge, then its all good.

That ski shreds everything.
