I've got some spyware or virus shit on my compy and I cant get it off. Can anyone point me to a free removal software download?

If if helps, the virus keeps bringing up fake "" windows, and when you click them is brings you some some website that wants you to pay for some crap removal software.

AVG Free, good virus protection

not being a retard and downloading everything, the best way to avoid it.

yeah there should be a few disks you need. the xp operating system installation cd. and like microsoft office or whatever other software stuff you have on your comp...

should this happen? im trying to install version 2002.
 
does the disk say Service Pack 1, or SP1?

you should be running SP2, and when you go to reformat, it will say that your cd key is not valid, and you just have to call microsoft, and tell them what is going on.

did you back up everything you need, because to reformat means to get rid of everything.
