HELP: French Music for Semester Project

Hello NS, I request your service. especially all of you Canadians.

Instead of having an exam for my French Lit class, my teacher is giving us three days to put together an oral presentation on something having to do with French.

I'm choosing music.

So does anyone know any good indie, alternative, or French bands/artists that are popular in Canada or France?

I hate Coeur de pirate, shit is played out, it's labelled as "indie" so everyone trying to be cool and different in Quebec listens to it + it sounds bad. End of mini-rant.

yeahh thats kind of the impression i got when i listened to her stuff, but i dont know much about french music so, i wouldn't know.

ive decided to go with Shurik'ns Samourai and then show the Jamski3 teaser cause it's got some sick music too.
