HELP! Defogging Camera Lense.

After going from my cold car and warm house back to my cold car that got warm then to cold outside, my lens for my t2i has fogged up terribly. I wiped off the out side of the lens with a soft cloth, put the lens back on, and it was still really foggy. Therefore im guessing that the lens is fogged somewhere internally. How do i defog it?

You know those silicagel(?) bags you get in clothes?, those will do the trick. Or rice.

this happened to me once, just use silicagel next time, or keep it in your pack/coat when changing environments quickly. But it should go away on its own, give it time.

I have a feeling I read somewhere that if its a zoom lens, changing the zoom distance at various times helps, but I'm not sure.

you just have to give the lens a few minutes to acclimate itself
