Help BC locals.... schools and skiing.

It's been a long time dream of mine to move to BC and get some real

skiing in. Next year that will become a reality. Problem is I have no

idea where to go. I'm done my university, but my GF who I will be

living with will be going to school.

So criterion 1: Need a school near by.

I've been looking into schools for her and UBC seems like a good option

in the future, but for now we think the plan may be college that has an

easy enough 2nd year transfer to UBC. Any recommendations?

Criterion 2: Fuffilling my dream.

I need some killer skiing. Always had Whistler in mind as the defacto

standard, but I am definatly open to other ideas. Some killer steeps,

pow and knarley terrain are the main things im looking for but a

decent park would be nice as well.

Criterion 3: I need a good job.

I have a B.Comm and a B.Sc. in economics, so i'm hoping to find a good

paying job (50k+) in my feild. I have some management experience as

well. Where is the job market good?

Recmmendations? Thanks for any help.

school: capilano. live: north van.ski: seymour... whis is beat.job: check out craigslist or somethign cuz there is no fuckin chance these little kids know anythign about a job other than mcdonalds burger flipper

Don't accept Seymour if your dream is to move to BC.

UBC opened a second school in Kelowna (I believe) which is a rad town, and close to some good skiing in the interior.

You could look into that, though getting a job here would be challenging.

Go for it!

Langara College pretty much feeds directly into UBC, almost all courses there are designed after the UBC courses.

Cap is closer to the mountains and depending on what she is taking she could get her entire degree there.
