ya, you cant see in them at all, even if they arent on your face.
however, fire is probably the least versatile lens you can get. if i were you i would get a gold or black iridium, still a great bright light lens but you will still be able to see if it isnt 100% blue bird. people still wont be able to see your eyes.
i used to use a fire lens but it was just too dark and it had to be a super bright day for them to not over dim the light. now i have a black iridium, which is still great for bright conditions but it isnt so dark. i also have the hi blue lens for overcast days. if you are going to get a darker lens you should invest in a bright lens too
