Helmet Cams

So, I'm thinking about buying a Helmet Cam for mainly skiing use and Ive narrowed it down to:

The Vholdr Contour HD and The GoPro Hero Wide

The Contour HD costs about $100 more, but has way better quality and can shoot for longer. But the GoPro has more/better mount options, and is waterproof.

Anyone else used these two?

or others in the same price range?($300 and under)

One of my friends used a go pro and the quality was really sick, and yea it does have a lot of options, which is really good. Haven't heard or seen the HD one before...

I havent used either, but from what i've seen, if you're uploading to vimeo or youtube or whatev, the quality goes down making the Contour very similar in quality to the GoPro.

I say GoPro, more bang for your buck.

I've never used the Contour HD camera, but the GoPro cam is okay. It's durable, easily mountable, and versatile, but I'm often frustrated with the video quality. If you're cutting GoPro footage with other footage (even SD footage), it really sticks out. It's not too noticeable if the final output is low-res flash video (like youtube), but for higher quality output most GoPro footage doesn't look too great.

contour hd seems a bit better in my opinion...depending how how good the waterproofing is.

quality on helmet cams suck balls normally

go pro helmet hero wide is really good but has trouble focusing on light and cant record sound also its not hd and im not sure about your other choice
