With all these GoPro and helmet cam videos coming out recently (ive just noticed more these days), i think it would be pretty cool to see some footage of some urban's being hit my these cams. Some urbans you see are just crazy, i couldnt imagine hitting. Shots could turn out pretty sick
No idea if this has been done before i couldnt find anything. What you guys think? If it has lets have a look, post em up.
 
Exactly, this stuff and will wesson for sure. Havent seen wild stallions yet but that inovation would be awesome from POV. And just insane urbans...
 
Uyeah we´ll be seeing this from now on, that is prolly the dopest idea I've heard in a long time, guessing someone will pick it up soon enough.
 
Don't you usually tend to fall alot more when hitting urban. Like they talk about how it takes them hundreds of tries to get it down. I'd be worried about the camera.
 
The just have someone rich like Dumont do it. Ill bet he could break 3 or 4 cameras and not give a fuck, and the shot would be so good that it would give the camera company huge rep
 
go pro has a wicked good protection case on it that is pretty damn impact resistant and i think they have a bomb warranty on them too.

yeah the camera cover is waterproof and very durable. if i hit some urbans this winter ill def get somethin for you guys. hopefully we'll get enough snow. BUT, they wont be 4kinks or anything cause im not to good.
 
i dont think this would really work unless the skier turns their head completely looking down the rail. because if they are just looking to the side, you wont really be able to see what they are doing and stuff. but who knows, it could work. just need someone to try to find out
 
it would definetly put urban in perspectave for people that dont get enough snow to hit urban rails.
 
Correction. This makes it seem like I don't look at the end of the rail when im hitting it when indeed I do...

 
actually, it would be super cumbersome, but if you got 3 cameras on one rider, (front, side, side) you could do some sickkkk editing that would totally capture that urban feelit would be so risky and a pain in the cock but if you got a seg like that going it would simply be mindblowing
 
yeah that could turn out to make a good edit. but im sure with the uprise of helmet cams we will get to see some urban with these very soon
 
That would be so awesome I would love to see that. I can see Andreas and his bro doing something like that for some reason, and they would destroy it.
 
It would also be useful to know where the peoples heads are pointing.

One of the biggest problems I had when I first starting hitting rails was looking at my feet. A GoPro on urban would help new kids with their technique i reckon
 
Here is a helmet cam video from wallisch at the dew tour from last year. He hits some rails and boxes in it.

WOWthat was an amazing edit, suddenly one of my favorites. From 2:00 onward, the last 3 or 4 tricks are SICK. The cork 5 looked great.Takes a lil getting used to to watch and understand, I would use lots of slowmo in an edit like that
 
Bump this. Its now pretty far into the season, has anyone tried this yet or know of any videos? I really want to see some footage.
 
Wow, really? that edit has been very popular since it came out, i think we've all seen it.
 
aha seriously?

helmet cams seem to emphasize the extreme gnarly impress the audience side of film making, which is kinda lame. I'd rather see the skier do the trick, than see what it looks like from his point of view, atleast on street stuff. (big mtn different, its all aobut the terrain theyre going down, not so much a trick or form)
