Hellbent vs. jj

So I ski in Indaina whith my park skis and gout out to colorado once or twice a year. I want to get some pow/big mtn skis. I like to jib in pow and ski steep stuff also drop cliffs and pillows, also an agressive skiier. I loved the jj but my ar6 are like all mountin skis. i dident know either to get the jj or hellbents I would take them out to colorada and ski on them when it snows down here. O im 6'2 and 200lbs.

The Hellbents are pretty fatty, so I would probably go with those only if your going to ski them on really deep stuff. The JJ's look better for all mountain skis, my friend rides them and their not to big and floppy to cut around on some off piste, hard bumps.

I'd say for a pure colorado ski, the hellbent is pretty sick. That's what I'll be skiing this year, partially because I'm getting them for free, but whatever, they're good skis. I would also reccoment the on3p caylor, and the atomic bent chetler. Both will have better pow performance than the jj, but be more versatile than the hellbent. The hellbent can rail on groomers, but nothing like either of those.

Get the 195 JJ that comes out next year. They are super versatile. Mine are good anywhere, even a bit of park.

Ski on the 185 jj right now, already have my akjj's ordered up. The 95 is even better, more stable at speed, and eat up choppy crap snow.

i used to have hellbents, i loved them but ive never tried the jjs but im just putting a good word in for bents

Next years hellbents are even better then this years, and you can kill the POW with them. They are very fat yes and because they have reverse camber they ride super fat as well. The Hellbents are a little hard to maneuver when you need to make short turns in tight spaces, but except for that they are great skis.

Dont get Hellbents they are not versatile enough for 2 trips a year. Look for something with camber under foot and rocker in the tip and tails.

The jjs are amazing!

Even my brother who has the bentchetlers begs me to let him use them every now and again!

I once skied no poles, down an icy, mogully, glacier in the french alpes on them and they still were the best ski I have ever skied - They do it all - you get some funny looks when you have these huge skis on your feet but they carve up hardpack beautifully! On a icy, cold day when it hasn't snow for 2 weeks and you just wanna cruise some groomers i'd pick the jjs over my park skis anyday - they are so versatile! Can't recommend them more!

You would be making a big mistake getting Hellbents. JJs are awesome I love mine and will not be getting rid of them anytime soon. There are however many skis that are as good or better than the JJ, the Hellbent is not one of them.

I ski them all day every day on a mountain that's relatively famous for how crap the snow is... and love them. They're just really fun skis for some reason.

ive got the hellbents

probably the most fun ski ive ever ridin so fun in deep pow skiing switch in pow

my friend has jj he also loves them i have no personal expierence with them tho

JJs are a great ski. I rode the OG Hellbents for two years and my JJs are miles ahead of the Hellbents.

Ok I already have Armada ARG's and alpha 1's but am looking for an all-mountain ski. I love fat rockered pow skis, and am def a new age pow skier. Not a seth type more from the tim d mold (I am not claiming I am that good). I am thinking of getting the jj or hellbent. I skied last years bents and didnt love them but thats mostly because I tried them in vermont on some boiler plate. I ski switch as much as possible and need something stable at high speed or in variable conditions. I make the whole mt a park and need to be able to get them around on spins and tech flips. The new bents have a carbon sheet in the tip to reduce flapping. I have skied the jjs and loved them and know they are more verstile than the bents, but i just love fat pow skis, and having a pair of ARG's (133 waist) and bents (132 waist) would be insane, especially when my middle waist ski would be the hellbent! I ski as fast as possible and spend most of my time in the air. I am going to be skiing in Utah this year, am 5'10", and 150 lbs

im that friend,....ive had both hellbents and jjs and id have to say that although hellbents are fuckin fun on deep pow days you can get screwed over if the weather changes, i love the jj because in addition to shredding pow it can rail on groomers too. if youre looking for a ski that is mostly pow oriented but can do it all go for the jj, but if all youre doin is deep pow hellbents where its at
