Helicopter Prison Escape

Nadine Vaujour was so determined to get her husband out of prison she took helicopter flight lessons just for the escape. Her husband, Michel Vaujour, was serving a lengthy sentence for attempted murder and armed robbery. In May 1986, he forced his way to the roof of a Parisian prison by wielding nectarines painted as grenades. His wife then picked him up in the helicopter and fled to a football field, where they drove away. But their luck soon ran out.Nadine Vaujour was discovered and arrested in southwestern France, and Michel was shot in the head during a failed bank robbery.

Nectarines haha!

and he got recaptured

...then escaped via helicopter. A second time.

Reading that wikipedia, apparently the French are pretty good at helicopter prison escape

When the NS diamond heist fails and I end up in prison I will make my escape with a Harrier Jump Jet.

Just think of the news headlines and videos. The logistics of acquiring one of the rare two seater harriers will be enormous but it would be so worth it.

"The two prisoners then boarded the helicopter, which flew 30 kilometres to a hotel parking lot in Estérel, where they fled in a Cadillac Escalade."

of course it was an Escalade.

THAT'S SO WEIRD.

I was literally thinking about this yesterday. I was watching this video about history of prisons and how they have all these crazy walls and I seriously thought "why don't they call for a helicopter"?

Seriously freaking me out a bit haha.

heard about this on the radio, thats seriously one of the best prison break attempts ever. definitely bad ass and movie material for the future. haha

You lot have the easy job, I was the diversion driver remember?

Cops follow me, whilst you sneak away in the back.

Yeah, well I'm worried about the ground clearance of my getaway car at the railroad crossing.

It also doesn't seem wise to discuss this out in the open, meet you at our secret preparation bunker, just off the A281 between Bramley and Bucks Green near the mini-roundabout in six.

you picked a good job being the diversion driver, it'd fucking suck to be in the jet wash of a fucking harrier hovering low enough to pick someone up

Whoa, when the fuck did I miss the plan for a diamond heist?

I would totally be down for that. I have access to high-intensity explosives used in mines

You failed, it was code language, the only appropriate response would have been:

I NEVER NARC'D ON NOBODY!
