Heel Piece Getting Worn

So I just picked up a fresh pair of boot. During the process of adjusting my bindings (griffon 13s), I noticed that the heel piece is getting pretty scratched and a little worn down. It happened on my old boots so I am not too worried but I do think it is a little odd considering they are brand new boots. Any thoughts or suggestions?

(hard to get a good picture tbh)

Newer “lightweight” boots use less durable plastics which scratch and dent super easy. I probably fit over 25bindings to boots a day and sometimes they leave a dent on the heel piece but that looks alittle much. Is your forward pressure set right?

Yeah my toe pressure is set (paper can slide through with pressure) I believe the reason is when I went to click the boot in I had the binding much too long so the binding slid off the back of the boot doing the brunt of the damage. Thanks for the second opinion bro helps a lot!

Mine look the same way. Same with last boots. No sweat op, although my forward pressure was set too high so that was probably part of it.
