Heavy bindings

So I bought some 'vaders with Look PX 12 demo bindings on them and they feel like cinder blocks. I have 3 questions...

Are the regular Look PX 12's lighter?

What other lighter bindings have the same thread pattern as the PX 12's?

Is it safe to remove the demo bindings and put a binding in the same screw holes?

demo bindings weigh more cause they are on an adjustable track. I would believe that they would also have a different hoel pattern than the normal ones, but i could be wrong.

uhh. i just bought some look px12 demo bindings like 3 days ago, maybe i shoulda know that before.

oh well, ill man up.

demo bindings are usually deemed as not worth buying, they are way heavier than the normal bindings, and have more unneeded 'binding' to go wrong. thats why you always get really good deals with them.

Just sell the demo bindings on eBay - I got a decent price for some old Salomon demos. Just say in the auction that they're good if you want to share the skis with different people or if you want to play around with your mounting point.

Then get PX12 or whatevr you want. It's a totally different hole pattern so you'll be fine. If you're dead set on a centre mount then take the skis to a shop and get them to check what bindings are going to work.

make sure you take them to a shop taht knows what they're doing though, because alot of places will think a center mount will totally wreck your skis and that you don't know what you're saying.
