ah well so can almost every other american. the bill AFAIK was to help even the playing field and to have low income families and people get healthcare, under this bill they still cant. Nearly every american can walk into a hospital and get free treatment, the people that have to pay for it, still have to after this bill
 
your point was that i should leave if i dont conform to your idea of america? that sounds like pretty much the opposite of what america is about, democracy and having control over the government. i vote for what id like to see. not leave when its going a direction i dont like.

No, I could contribute my opinion if I wanted to, but I don't know enough about the topic and the minute details of the healthcare industry to say something that I know is true. You both are basically spouting off liberal and conservative buzzlines that you have contorted into something that seems different and insightful. If you really want to have an educated opinion on the topic, do some real research on how healthcare works and how people pay for it currently. I mean real research, don't go to foxnews.com or msnbc and quote some opinion piece and cite it as fact. Then you can have some real conversation without getting in a shitfit with some other ignorant person.

Until then you are just armchair quarterbacking.
 
I'm all for health care reform, I just wish we were doing something like Medicare for All. There's still a chance they can get the finalized bill to allow states to setup single-payer systems which is the best bet for real reform in my opinion.

I presume that you are referring to sales taxes which go to state and local government. Typically they are put to things like keeping school class sizes smaller, or roads, or a number of other things. Now you dont pay property tax or income tax so stop fucking whining YOUR tax dollars are not going to this new health bill.
And we arent taxed on food. That why I prefer to buy food at a market and cook it myself. I saves at a minimum 7.5 percent a year for me
And to be honest I was joking about the fat thing I would hope that on a forum dedicated to an outdoor sport like skiing that no one would be fat.
 
ok, maybe i dont pay income tax RIGHT NOW.. but in a couple years, my money is gonna pay for a bunch of shit i dont care about.

dollars need to be used more wisely, this health system wont do that.
 
No one should have to go without health care and no one should ever be denied due to preexisting conditions Period. Im in a situation that I'm only about a year away from needing to get my own insurance and I could pay for it on my own. But the way the system works I would be denied due to the fact I have pre existing conditions.
Ever hear the say "if you dont have your health you have nothing" it very true. I'm willing to pay more so others can have even a fraction of the quality of life I enjoy.
 
And I think its funny that republicans politicians are so against health care reform but many of them call them selfs "christians". What would jesus do? Well he probably would say stop being greedy and help your fellow man. Crazy isnt it

I beg to differ there could be intelligent posts but then 5 yr olds fuck these topics up......privatization of health care like the American system only benefits the different medical insurance companies....but then the system in Canada benefits all but is not as well funded and is beginning to fail a little
