Has anyone been to this? Got some free tickets from a friend who couldn't make it and was thinking about checking it out this weekend...Kind of a long drive from Boston though and I've heard bad reviews about the lines you need to wait in and stuff, but I was hoping to hear some reviews from people who have went cause supposedly it's one of the coolest Halloween attractions in the country and decently scary...

Since a lot of NS is Northeast Coasters, I figured people have been.

In all honesty I live right in CNY and have never heard about it, though I'm not a huge Halloween fan anyways. I would check it out though, as a whole this area has some pretty good Halloween events from hearing stories from friends and such.

Yeah it's right in Ulster Park and it sounds like it's really well put together and pretty impressive.

you have to go! it's so much fun and there are parts that are legit scary. go! you wont regret it!

I have not been but have heard it was actually pretty scary. I wouldn't drive all the way from Boston though. You're better off going another hour into NYC during the holiday season or to see comedy.

It is fucking awesome. Had been voted top 15 in the country. So mad I can't go this year. Make sure you sit on te very back of the wagon, legs hanging off.

Awesome to hear some good reviews! I think I'm gonna make the trip. I love shit like this and I hear that it's really impressive, scary, and well put together... Probably get a cheap hotel room nearby and make a night out of it with some friends...

You guys think it would be worth the trip? I've heard of a lot of people driving quite a few hours to check it out...I have a feeling it's worth it...

This is their main attraction, they pour a ton of money into it. Actors, costumes, props. There is a hayride, corn maze, and 3 houses. All phenomenal. I think it is, especially if you're not paying for the ticket. I am super jealous.

I went to it 5 years ago. It was pretty good and only 20/30 minutes from my house. I have nothing to compare it to, but I got a good jump or two.

I had just broken my ankle, so I was on crutches and they let me go to the front of everything....It was clutch.

Since when is upstate everything above the city? -offended cat from CNY.

To me anything above New Paltz is upstate. The Cats are def upstate and the hayride is in the Cats.

Hey everyone! I actually just got hooked up and was able to get new tickets for next Sat....I'm giving my tickets for this Sat night away for free. If anyone lives in that area or is willing to take the trip, I can shoot them over to you via email free of charge... First person to message me gets em...

This. I understand its upstate of nyc but ny is a decent size state. Imo you have to be above albany to be upstate but that's just like mh opinion man.

People who grew up in NYC consider Westchester upstate lol... Decades ago, the north bronx was considered upstate or out in the woods with Deer hunting and all. When I lived in the bronx before I moved at the age of 7, we considered it moving upstate and everybody was going to be a hillbilly (mind of a 7 year old). Turns out I am on the Southern Tier of NY (foothills of catskills) and I love it.

Its not in the "cats" It's right on the Hudson, south of Kingston.....It is barely above (north of) New Paltz.

And yes I get so confused by this term upstate. New York has a large amount of land. I considered anything above Albany upstate.

Close enough. If you don't consider the Catskills a part of the very vague "upstate NY" then you're nuts lol.
