How's your recovery going? Are you skiing woodward yet?

Recovery -- good. But dealing with other things I feel like I'm going to be in PT forever. Yes on the Woodward front -- taking it REALLY easy though.

So I just noticed Woodward is doing a free ladies night coach session every week on Thursday (not sure when they started). Has anyone been? Is it mostly just children? They also have free ski park coaching on Mondays but I'm gonna assume that's definitely mostly full of children. Anyways, here's the link:https://www.woodwardparkcity.com/culture/events

Brooo!! I want to go so bad!!! Wanna link up and go!? I didn’t know this was a thing!!

I could maybe be convinced to go. I plan on skiing the morning at PCMR and my bedtime is stupid early this time of year so it might be rough to get back out there. I'm a bit afraid of how the refrozen mashed potatoes from the 50+ degree daytime weather will be. Also I continue to suck at park, but that's what coaching is for right?

I’ll hopefully be at PCMR Thursday for gaper day! So hit me up!

@chunkylover

won’t be at alta!

I wished they did cool stuff like that for the 18+ and in my area

I've was nagging one of the kids freestyle coaches at my local hill this season to see about doing an adult version of group freeski lessons.

If anyone is going the cinco de mayo mini glacier jib park party tomorrow report back here and let us know how it is. That magic carpet is short, I can't imagine they'll have enough room to build much.

So after riding the new woodward magic carpet setup 2 days now I'm gonna go ahead and say it's not worth it as a skier. Maybe it would be okay if it was colder or if they salted. But within an hour of open the mashed potatoes are so deep you can't pop a flat ground trick to save your life, and getting onto and off of features requires some sort of miracle. Today I took the snowboard out and it was so much better with all the surface area to float on, plus I'm shit on a snowboard so I wasn't trying to ride any features I was just happily surfing the slush.

Everyone else there today was also on a board, with the exception of one skier that kept eating shit repeatedly because he made the mistake of trying to ride the rails, at one point he was desperately nordic skating downhill to get speed for a rail and still biffed it hard cause the slush wouldn't let him out of the snow. If anyone here decides to go, it might be a good time to learn to snowboard. I'm kind of sad I missed the snowskate demo day cause that seems like it might be a good time too.

So slow, I wouldnt even try to ski it!

It was a great park for snowskating, though I couldnt get enough speed to make the top of the quarter pipe.

Been timing it on cloudy days and aiming for the evening when it refreezes.

Some of those landings are like touching down into a bunch of grabby little hands trying to rip your board off.

When I was there last, it was nothing but snowboarders.

This kid did an epic salmon ladder on an uphill corrugated tube - you know the one they have setup right above the top?

Man, I think I'll never forget seeing that.

Was sad to miss the demo, I love working those! Especially cuz Jeremy's got all these off-the-radar home boys that appear out of thin air to do old school tricks and have interesting opinions about the sport.
