OK...ive had the giro 9 for 3 years now and i wanna try somehtign different, more of the hat and gogles under liek a skate helmate or soemthign look. ANy suggestions on specific items

search for capix wake hat. they are helmets with the hat look. there pretty sweet and thin.

not what i'm saying at all. i'm saying that you should get a helmet thats made for skiing/snowboarding, because that will serve the main purposes of a helmet (safety & warmth) best. If you like skate helmet style, R.E.D. makes good helmets designed to look like skate lids that are also warm for snow. your proposed solution of a skate helmet over a beanie looks beat, and is less safe, because the foam is designed to absorb and distribute all the impact, without a beanie in the way.
