I just got my first dslr and I have been trying to get some good quality videos on youtube. but everytime i post to youtube, the quality degrades alot. Any suggestions or help?

btw: i shoot in 720p60fps

ISO:400

f-7.1

Shutter speed: 1250-4000

I export from final cut pro 7: Apple Pro Res 422 1280x720

thanks

Here are the video settings I use with Sony Vegas:

1280x720

29.97 fps

H.264 codec in MP4 wrapper

data rate to 8000kbps

enable 2 pass VBR encoding

I'm not really familiar with final cut but there are tons of different tutorials for HD youtube settings, check some out and try different settings until you find the right one

Have you given it time (over an hour)? It takes a while for the HD versions to process. As soon as it uploads the quality will be absolute shit for a bit, then the better qualities start coming. If you've had them up for a while I have no idea, just use vimeo

Yeah I will wait and the next day after the video was uploaded, the quality still looks average. thanks for the help everyone +k

Not 100% sure it will help. Buttt...look at Handbrake as a program. It helped me solve the issue you mention that I had when trying out time lapse's.

Again, not 100% sure and could be complete bollox.
