Hashtags on Newschoolers

I could see how this might be useful but it could easily turn into people using unnecessary hashtags which is annoying.
 
I think it would be cool if you could use hashtags when creating a thread, that way the hashtags could link certain related threads. For instance, all the threads created about Steve "taking over saga" could have the hashtag #sagasteve or something like that. But I think only OPs should have the ability to use hashtags, otherwise people would write in threads with retarded hashtags.
 
Sorry for double post but I forgot to add something above. Also OP hashtags could be useful if someone wanted to see threads related to the topic of the thread they were in, however, in the future, this could cause bumping of very old threads.
 
Hashtags could be very useful. But if kids use them now it's just as annoying as when kids use them on Facebook

It'd be useful to see like all videos of a certain trick, person. etc
 
I feel like this would be extremely dumb
