Not sure what happened...ripped a good run and at the bottom I looked down at my boots to see this.
 
The newer higher-end ones like the seths have a different buckle/cable placement, and better micro adjustment setup so it'd tougher for that to happen
 
too bad that those are influence-boot. The lower bucklewrap is made entirely of plastic that's prone to break under high stress. Looks like the boot has the same problems snowboarders have with their straps. To avoid it breaking FT has to reinforce the plastic with metalwire or redesign the buckle itself.

 
full tilt is really good about warrantees. take em to your shop, tell em what happened, you will probably get a free buckle and cable.
 
fulltilt is really good replacing shit. i lost a buckle off that same boot and they just sent me two for no cost. i bet they will have you covered no problem
 
This happend on both of my boots, I've been skiing with only the 2 buckles for like a year and half and I haven't noticed any difference anyways.
