Has Skiing Become Too Much of a Fashion Contest

Good thing I’m not good enough to pull a lead mute because I don’t hit jumps ? in all seriousness though if you got dulled edges or whatever it’s so nice to grab and hold.

Oh my shit dull from tip to tail baby. But I wouldn’t dare stickin my bare hand down there ?

Nah everyone getting to the hill super early and acting like first chair is cool and they're core for waiting in the cold for 3 hours has more to do with the lame vibe than clothing.

Go skiing on a 60 degree sunny day and look at all the cunts in full shells, helmets, and goggles (90% of skiers no matter how nice) and there is no fashion.

^^ I had over a 120 different pant/jacket/hoodie combos. I live right by the lift so I could take the pic right before I walked out the door. I decided to incorporate my favorite Japanese girls band into the background. Yeah, I got too much time on my hands, as well as too many ski clothes.

Everyone too self conscious to go to goodwill and not have a brand on em so yes.

edit: if it looks good and feels good wear it

I love getting compliments for doing a sw on b2 on a tiny rail from the max reade apparel kids who can’t b2 while I’m wearing the same shitty clothes I’ve been rocking for 10 years

Absolutely. Go to Loon and you will see;

1. dumb f*k kids doing stupid tricks

2. people almost breaking their neck by going too fast

Even tho im still young people are so insufferable

Why ski at Loon and deal with the crowds? Waterville Valley and Cannon are way quieter and less busy than they were back in the 90s too.

way easier to get to. I'm from Connecticut so it matters

NS: "baggy or die lmao, if you don't wear baggy you're a nerd, dopesnow sucks, what happened to thugged out steeze?"

2 seconds later:

"erm skiing is such a pretentious fashion show why can't we just be ourselves and have fun"

how about we just be thankful we have so many grassroots brands rn who are willing to make wide cut snowpants

WV is super out of the way. Besides I've gone to Loon for a long time so its nostalgic

just fyi, assuming you're coming from the south on 93, loon and wv are about the same. you go further up the highway to get to loon's exit but the post-highway section to waterville pretty much exactly cancels it out on most days. they usually have the same ETA for me

loon is great but it's just so slammed i never go anymore

also, little known fact: waterville's base elevation is higher than loon's

loon is also WAAAAAAAAAAAY harder than WV. Been to WV and wasn't really met with a Ripsaw or TT (from loon). gives u a better challenge

You NEED to do a day at Cannon then brother. Some of the best/most challenging terrain on the East Coast IMO.

yeah if you're looking for actually challenging mtn, go to cannon. i didn't even comment on loon vs wv in that respect cause they're both super easy mtns, almost nothing challenging at either
