I'm looking to make a portable wooden jump that I can put a layer of snow on top of and bring around to hit urban. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this b/c it seems a lot easier than building a jump out of snow.

Transport pallets. Like this:

You can stack them up against things and if you need to smooth out the transition just stack one so it rests on the mid point of the next. Cover with some sort of astroturf like this to allow you to stack snow on top:

we used to use a wooden jump but it's a pain in the ass to haul-- one more thing when some yard mules, property management come and expect you to be packed up and gone in 30sec or they take down your info.

Problem is that every rail is different. When you're building a jump out of snow you can adjust the height and angle to match the angle of the downrail or whatever, and with a piece of pre-fab wood you can't do that. Pallets work though if you're low on snow.

Just do it when there's snow. Snowbanks have heavy snow. You can throw down a takeoff fast hit it then get the hell out of there.

Pallets can help as suggested. Also just look for shit around what you're hitting. Sometimes you can find pallets, signs, dumpsters, garbage cans and other shit just lying around to help you out.
