the other day @ jiminy i tried a cork 5 but landed back seat whele switch and basically was tomma hawking down the mountain a put out my left arm but all weight landed on it.... so i got back up after the crash and was like owww my arm hurts i think i dislocated my shoulder....i skied down to the lodged and felt my shoulder and a bone was popping out....i went to the hospitol got x-rays etc...

Dr. comes back and says you have fractured your shoulder separated your AC joint (color bone from shoulder) and tore some ligaments...i got to see the another Dr. monday and i guess i might need surgery...its not that painful just i have a hard time sleeping...i took my arm out even to type this...

i have a trip to whister Feb 16-24 and im really bummed that i probably wont be skiing any park :[

i know ski the powder its "WHISTLER" but i live in the east so i only ski park so thats what i like

im just wondering if anyone has done this before and how long it took them to recover because i really want to go skiing again soon and i dont want to have my trip to whistler taken away because of this stupid injury

thanks to anyone that can help

Shit man that sucks. It's too bad you won't be able to ski the park here, but the regular skiing is great none the less.

well when i was five i was bombing down the access road on the side of whis on my rigid 5 year old bike, i thought it was pretty fun to shake my front wheel. i turned it sideways.... faceplanted going like 30 or 40 k and i did the same thing..... i don't really remember how bad it hurt. it obviously wasn't bad though.

I think i did something similar. I had a weird crash once fooling around, and ended up landing most of my weight on my arm/shoulder. I hurt my collar bone pretty bad, and couldn't move my arm for a long time. I got it x-rayed, and they told me that nothing was broke. However, to this day it still sticks out further than it should, and i can't do certain things without it hurting(alot of push ups, weights, etc.) It took about 2-3 months for it to feel decent enough to move regularly, and about 1 month to just be able to use it.

that happened to my friend like 1hr before our slopestyle comp and he is out for the rest of the season unless he gets a quick recovery then he will be maybe back on skis at the end of april

dude, one of my homies has that injury right now and hes been skiing everyday... theres a video of his doing rodeos with his sling in the top rated section if you need proof

fuck dude.  that sucks a lot.sorry to hear it.

I would just ask your Doctor and see what they have to say, and evn though they might give you a long time before you can get back in the park, I would listen, they don't go to years and years of school just to keep you off the slopes.

never had that happen, but i am going to whistler the same time as you and im extra pumped cuz im from the ec too so its gonna be sickk
