Has anyone done this?

brought a shovel to the mountain and built a booter on a regular trail?I really want to because I found a sick spot for a jump but Im worried about getting my pass pulled. Anyone done this successfully and how?

youll probably get in trouble unless you talk to the management about it first and get special permission. they cant just have random kids building jumps where ever they want because thats how people get hurt.

It has to do with insurance, they are only insured for freestyle terrain in certain ares avery year. They could get sued hard so they never take chances.

me and my friends have built little side booters, as long as its not in the middle of the run you should be fine

just dont. you will be told its not ok. a hardass will pull your pass, and he should. soooooo much liability for the mountain if you do that. just wait until late april/early may and hike up and build it.

I've done this just get it done before ski patrol sees u. Don't spend lots of time cause usually they'll see it and destroy it. Also tell everyone at ur mountain that u know that u "found it" so they'll hit it and ski patrol won't know who to blame. Lastly if ur gunna use a shovel halide the shit like ur carrying 100 kilos of coke through an airport, if u really don't want to be caught.

i made like a five foot kicker off the side of the ranger park at keystone last weekend, nobody cared. but a booter id think somebody would care

some friends and i built one right under the lift on a bumps run and patrol came down and looked and said" tyin get some air, have fun"

me and a bunch of mates built a little kicker about a week before the season opened where the skier cross course usually is because there's nice rollers that make for a sweet landing and its still there. perfect spot just off to the side of the groomer so u can hit it on ur way down and the areas fenced off aswell so they dont groom it and nobody really hits it. ski patrol at my resort really dont give a shit about ducking under ropes because everyone does it.

I do it all the time but usually out of the way. The only time ski patrol talked to us we had the jump directly under the chairlift. They weren't mad or anything, they just asked us to take the jump down.

i did it last season with a friend, had tons of people hitting it and wasnt taken done at all, right in the middle of a main run
