Has anybody heard back from Qparks shape acadmery in relation to shaper jobs?

Applied to QParks shape academy as a shaper for a bunch of resorts about a little over a month ago. The last email I got said they were gonna have most places fixed by mid September. Still haven't got anything back and my application says its pending. A little worried at the moment to be honest. Just wondering has anybody else got assigned to resorts yet?

I was talking to them about 5 years ago. The first thing I mentioned was that I did not have an EU passport just a USA one. They said that was fine and wouldn't be a problem.

After chatting over a fairly long period they finally put together a plan. Then right when everything was almost set they emailed me saying "We've noticed that you are an American citizen without an EU passport. We will not be able to take you on with the company".

Or something like that. Like no shit. I told them that in my first email and they said it was all good. First and last time I ever applied to work there.

/rant lol

That said I'm still waiting for a final plan from some other companies so it's not TOO late but it is getting a bit late. Have you emailed them to follow up and made sure you don't slip through the cracks? Sometimes when they're stressed out and trying to fill all the staffing and keep up with emails people get forgotten. Just check in and mention that you're still interested in the shaping job at ___________.

That's Qparks in a nutshell for ya!

Have you got an EU passport?

Basically you might hear from them at any time really, all the way up to february. To them, you're basically a shovel monkey. so they'll treat you that way. I would ring them and email them, but even then don't be surprised if some clueless office lady rings you up and asks if you can be at a resort like the next day. For such a big company, they seem to have no logistical skill what so ever when it comes to hiring people, it's seriously mind boggling.

Dang that does not sound promising. I mean their parks are run amazingly well you would think their hiring process would be too. I just sent an email asking whats up anyway hopefully they reply soon or I guess ill have to look in a bar or a resuturant.

Well to the outsider everything looks great, but it can be a ball ache working for them. But to be honest, if what you want is a season of shredding, partying and cultural immersion, you will most likely have a good time. But like I said, they don't really treat their employees that well, but it's tolerable if all you are looking for is the above mentioned.

Schneestern still has some spots I think. Also LAAX was hiring. Not sure for how many jobs. Unique parks had a couple spots as well. Not sure who else. Worth looking into some backup plans.

I would keep emailing though to make sure you don't get lost in the process. Then either you know it's still happening, or if it doesn't then you'll know asap and can make other plans.

Word. Schneestern is a dope company. I was supposed to go last year but I got back to the states too late and my visa app got delayed. This year it's one of my options again, but I'm leaning toward staying in the states to make things easier.

They definitely know how to build a good park though. Good luck on the job hunt!
