Hard versus soft tail?

I have a full suspension cross country bike, but I am starting to get into a lot more urban riding. Wondering what you guys think the benefits/preference are for a hard or a soft tail mountain bike?

why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice?
 
If you can afford a full suspension it's worth the money. A hard tail is out of the question for urban riding. I actually prefer my hard tail though when im riding xc because my full suspenion is older and feels mushy on the inclines.

haha i was going to ask what you were saying but since your drunk i won't bother, as I just said in the other bike thread you can keep up with duallys for the most part with a well built hardtail, and for urban you most definately want a hard tail with a 3-4inch fork. If im not doing drops or stair gaps i turn the travel down to 120mm on my fork just because you don't need more travel

a hardtail is out of the question for urban? what you on with drunk flaps. personally i reckon hardtails are better, this is because to get an equally good fullsus bike i would cost me too much money. hardtails are pimp shiznoit for urban tho.

again, i make little sense as well. but hardtail hardtail hardtail unless you want to make use of the nice freeride material you have in the US; cliffs and such.

Fuck the solf tail. Don't even think of that. Go for a urban hardtail. Kona usually has good cheap bikes.

Don't get a fully. Full suspension bikes are for fags like kyle (no offense to any kyles on this website but i know the faggot named kyle who thinks he's all that cuz hes got a fully and he can't do dick.). Hardtails are for real men, and obviously the best for urban. You will never see a pro urban rider on a fully. And don't buy a Kona get something like a Cannondale chase. I have one and it's the sweetest bike ever.

If you want a street bike, buy the specialized p.1 cromo or the norco 604 street. or buil up your own bike. starting with an azonic steelhead frame. Dirt cheap and mad quality. My steelhead is pimp

when i ride mine, i liek to have the tail super firm, so when u spank it, you get that rebound on your hand and that crisp slap noise.

depends what kind of Urban you do. If you are more Trials style then a hardtail is the way to go. I love hardtail because i can do more technical stuff. Even drops aren't that bad if you know how to land and have dece whelels
